These terms cover your use of haulcaptain.com, including our playbooks, calculators, templates and forms. By using the site, you agree to them. They don't cover dispatch services: if you work with our desk, a separate dispatch agreement is sent to you after we talk, and that agreement governs the service.

Information, not advice

Our playbooks explain trucking rules, costs and practices in general terms. They are not legal, tax, accounting, insurance or HR advice, and they don't create a professional relationship. Rules change and every operation is different; check the cited sources and talk to a qualified professional before making decisions that depend on them.

Calculators are estimates

Our calculators produce estimates from the numbers you enter and the assumptions each one shows. Starting values are examples. Results aren't quotes, guarantees or official records. Compliance date tools are reminders, not a replacement for your own records.

Templates are starting points

Business plan, driver handbook, org chart, safety plan, KPI and checklist templates are starting points. They aren't legal, tax or HR advice, and they need to be reviewed and adapted for your company and your state before you use them.

Benchmarks and data have dates

Benchmarks, rankings, market figures and prices are shown with their source and the date we checked them. They may have changed since. Third-party prices and terms are set by those companies; check their current pages.

No guarantee of loads or income

Nothing on this site guarantees freight, rates, income, broker approval or any business result. Examples are labeled as examples and aren't promises.

Partner links

Some links go to partners, and we may be paid for referrals. Partner products and services are provided by those companies under their own terms. See our disclosure.

Using the site

• Don't misuse the forms, send spam, or try to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the site.
• You may link to our pages and quote short passages with credit. Don't copy whole pages or tools.
• Information you submit must be accurate and yours to share.

Content and trademarks

The site's text, tools, templates and design belong to HaulCaptain or its licensors. Other companies' names appear for identification and as facts; that doesn't imply a partnership or endorsement. HaulCaptain is a private dispatch service. We are not a law firm, accounting firm, software vendor, insurance agency or government agency, and we are not affiliated with any company named in our guides.

Limits on liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses from using the site, its tools or information, or from third-party sites we link to. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.
